Who Are We?
Coming together from individual former efforts in our respective industries; Joe, James & Alex formed JJA Engineering in 2019. Initially working from 1 van, growing to a full scale engineering and sheet metal operation in just a few years. Owing to the reputation we have worked tirelessly to achieve – we can now proudly say that we work for some of the largest and most successful firms in the United Kingdom.
We assist our clients with turnkey projects with healthy working relationships with civils, electrical and structural engineering firms to support our own abilities.
Within our team we have a combined mechanical engineering and fabrication experience of 250 years.
Joe Girling-Elliott

Beginning his career with a BP advanced apprenticeship scheme with an engineering focus; before taking a break to race cars professionally, Joe is now responsible for overseeing our staff, projects, and the upkeep of our ISO and structural accreditations.
James Girling-Elliott
Managing/Finance Director
Leaving an international brand for an opportunity to start a business is always a risk. Thankfully with a keen interest in accounting and being responsible for the day to day oversight of our office and HR, James ensures that we are always available to our clients.
Alex Lindsay
Technical Director
With his entire career being spent working in this industry, it makes sense that Alex is the lead when it comes to design. With his wealth of knowledge in our industry – Alex has proven himself to excel at design, with his speciality being pneumatic conveying systems and industrial dust extraction systems.
